Size of scans, text over pictures etc

I have a few queries
- when I scan a slide and save it, the image appears with ssome text diagonally across it saying 'Laserscan imaging'- why does this appear and how can I get rid of it?
- should I save as jpeg rather than tiff?
- how can I alter size? Scans are appearing very small and I want to enlarge them to screen size;

Dear John,

your SilverFast is running in "demo mode", you must serialize it.
You can choose the format you want to save the images.
To alter the size of a scan you must change the resolution of it.
