SilverFast SE doesn't see Epson V500

Hi folks,

I have a brand new Epson Perfection v500 attached (USB) to my G5 PowerMac w/ Mac OS X 10.4.11, Adobe Psh CS2, and, a brand new installation of your SilverFastSE 6.6.0r6 sw. Although the scanner ~seems to work, SF isn't seeing the scanner properly -- the SF Preview window identifies my scanner as EPSON GT-X770. Have I found a bug a bug or a stealth hardware upgrade? LOL

Dear Sarah,

no need to worry everything is OK, GT-X770 is the device name that your Epson V500 is communicating to SilverFast.
So this behaviour is normal, I hope you enjoy your V500 with SilverFast.
