Silverfast HDR v6

Regretfully I have a film scanner not supported by Ai and use instead the hdr version. The problem I have is that my licensed copy of v5 accesses my pictures down through the directory tree I use to segregate my scans, while v6 demo usead as a photoshop plug in freezes. I don't feel like investing $65 until I'm sure it is worth the investment.

My directory is set up as d:\my photos\sony\scans\project xx\images (various numbers and names to identify each.)

V5 migrates that tree without fail. V6 demo being used as a photoshop plug in freezes up as soon as i select scans.

My computer is a Pentium 4, 2ghz, w/ 512mb ram and 80g hard drive, windows xp pro

to clarify, i use 5 as photoshop plugin the same as i am attempting to use 6, and have no problems under 5 migrating down my directory tree, but 6 freezes photoshop and HDR as soon as i migrate down only two branches on the directory tree.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything, even to include my adaptec scsi scanner card (AHA 2940) and drivers and photoshop 7 and can replicate the problem without fail.
