Hi,
I am experiencing banding when I scan using the Microtek i900 glass drawer and Silverfast software. The strange thing is that when I use ScanWizard Pro software this banding does not occur, which leads me to believe that this problem is related to the software rather than the hardware...? The online pages of Silverfast Troubleshooting advise to delete preference files, but this does not work - apparently it is a problem when using the glass drawer and the calibration of the scanner. However, because I am digitising glass plate negatives, I have no other choice but to use this glass drawer. Although the Scanwizard Pro does not contain the banding, it takes twice as long to scan half as many. Therefore, the speed of Silverfast (when it is working properly) is essential to my project.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Silverfast and Microtek i900 - Banding
Dear Mr. Mills,
please note that we retrieve 48Bit Data from the scanner so SilverFast actually " sees" more than Scanwizzard.
Please upload some samples here so I can have a look at them.
