SilverFast AI Studio Demo Mode

I am currently evaluating SilverFast AI Studio to see if it meets my needs. I need to scan Ektachrome and Kodachrome slides and I already own IT8 targets for both film types. The only reason for using SilverFast is because it allows for It8 calibration and a color managed workflow. I do not want to have to correct for color casts after my images are scanned. When using the software in Demo mode IT8 calibration is turned off. How can I evaluate the software when the most important feature I need to use is disabled? Is it possible to get a timed license key to do the software evaluation?

Dear Jstar,
the problem is that if you would be able to fully evaluate the IT8 calibration, you would end up with a fully usable ICC Profile.
In that case you won't have to buy the Software anyways ( for calibration ).
So this is why we don't offer the calibration in demo mode and it really doesn't make sense to write a somhow crippled ICC Profile, because that would only result in crippled images leading to a bad feeling about our calibration Quality.

So it's a Dilemma, that is only solvable in 2 ways:

-1- You can find lots of good reviews about our IT8 calibration and trust them.
-2- If you feel you can argue us into a special treatment you can always contact sales@silverfast.com to reason with our sales departement.
They would probably feel your need if you are planning to buy multiple licenses or the like...
