In Silverfast 6.6 the Densitometer Tool allowed me to orientate the output scan, flipping or rotating. How do I do this in Silverfast 8.
Thanks

Dear Ian,
you can do this with the orientation tool. It is the third tool from the top in SF8.
Best regards

Re: Silverfast 8 output orientation
I'm working in Batch Mode. The Orientation tool rotates the entire prescan. In SilverFast 6.6, I used the Densitometer to correctly rotate each photo of the batch. How do I do this in version 8?
Re: Silverfast 8 output orientation
Isn't this a global rotation for the whole scan and not for each individual frame?

Dear Ian,
unfortunately it is not possible to rotate a single frame like in SF6.6 but I gave this request to our developers.
Best regards

It's been almost a year since you "sent the request to the developers." Has there been any progress? Batch processing is impossible with version 8 until I can change the orientation of each image.

Re: Silverfast 8 output orientation
Hi there
Actually it's been 6 months since the original request has been sent (Aug 23 2011-Feb 24 2012).
Individual frame rotation has not yet been implemented.
With all due respect, I do not believe the situation is as dramatic as described. Almost all film holders have some sort of diagram showing the way in which pictures should be correctly positioned. Even if that is not the case, after doing a preview you can see if pictures are in the "desired" position or not and can be physically switched, flipped or rotated to the right direction before performing any endscan.
I agree, it is always nice to have tools that make our work easier, and we surely want to offer the tool in question, but as you can see there is an easy workaround for this "issue".
We concentrate our resources solving higher priority issues like stability and compatibility as well as enhancing performance to be able to offer you a more reliable product.
I believe the individual frame rotation/flip tool might be offered sometime this year, an exact date for this has not yet being specified though.
Thanks for your understanding and patience
Kind regards
