After looking at the new SF6 manual, I have a question about the workflow chart on page 17. Where in the workflow should one use the new SRD feature? I assume that it should be before or after #6, Dust and Scratch Removal. Is this correct? I just want to make sure I'm using SF6 to it's maximum potential.

Thanks,
Ian A.

Dear Ianders1,
the SRD is the dust scratch removal function.

Engelhardt,

I must've been half-asleep when I posted that - I meant to say when should I set the GANE setting?

Thanks,
Ian A.

Workflow for SilverFast SRD

Workflow for SilverFast SRD

Basically SRD should be used after scaling and sharpness has been set, since especially the sharpness function would affect the visibility of dust and scratches!

I don't think that this was the answer IanA was looking for. However, given that you imply that the filters should be applied before SRD I think we can take it that GANE should be applied before SRD. It sure looks like SilverFast does the GANE processing before SRD.
