Using SilverFast Ai 6 - Does anyone know why placing the frame marquee over a scanned negative image gives it a grey, shadowy cast.
I noticed that this does not seem to happen in version 5.5. For example, an image scanned showing a blue sky in version 5.5 still appears the ame shade of blue when the frame marquee is placed over the negative image. In version 6, the sky becomes a murky, greyish blue.
Why should this be? Is it a feature of the download from the web?

Look forward to your opinions.
John

The area within the marquee reflects the settings you have made in Silverfast: NegaFix profiles, curves, color settings, settings in the various options panels, CMS settings, etc. I'd start by comparing ALL the settings between the two versions.

Good Luck.
