Silverfast 6 AI and calibration with 3rd pary software

I have used a Wolf ***** reflective target and generated a custom profile for my Epson 4990 scanner using Lprof and Profile Mechanic. I can scan an image with Silverfast with same settings as I used to scan my target and open in Photoshop and assign the scanner profile and everything looks fine. When I set up the CMS settings to use the scanner profile and my working space in Photoshop (Adobe RGB) and scan the image when I open it up in Photoshop it darkens greatly. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
