Should I callibrate with IT-8 IF I only use negafix?

Postby harry shin » Sat Feb 15, 2003 2:34 am

1. I only scan negatives and thus I use negafix everytime I use silverfast ai.
2. I was reading this tutorial by Ian Lyons and it seems to suggest that if one is using negafix, callibration is not an issue because silverfast will ignore the scannor or callibration etc...

Thanks for any info. Harry Shin

NegaFix and IT8-Calibration

Postby President_LSI » Sat Feb 15, 2003 10:31 am

NegaFix and IT8-Calibration

When using NegaFix IT8-Calibration is disabled. The reason is that the reversal of internal tables needed for NegaFix does currently create deviations when the corrections of the calibration are calculated on top of NegaFix.
This might be changed in a later development.
