SF6 speed

Postby Stefan » Tue Aug 20, 2002 5:24 pm

SF 6 is extremely slow in comparison to 5.5,even if you do exactely the same adjustments.
Scratch removal workes fine, but if you take into account, how long it takes to do the preview (for example for a 4000dpi scan),the adjustments of the parameters, moving the navigator and the final calculations of the process right after the scanning,I`m sure I`m faster,if I remove the scratches and dust with the healing brush in Photoshop.

I don't work with 4000dpi scans only 300dpi at the moment. I've got a 1.7ghz AMD and it screams. Almost no waiting in silverfast at all. I'm going to have to try scanning a slide at 3600dpi and see how fast it is

I'm really sorry about all the posts! I'm still trying to get used to this forum and posting.
