SF 8: Cancelling an ADF Scan

In SF 8 with a Nikon 5000 ED / SF-210, if I try to cancel an ADF Scan by clicking the yellow cross in the Scanner Status pane, the current slide scan gets cancelled, but it immediately proceeds to the next slide. The only way I've found to cancel the entire scan is to exit SF.

Is this a known problem with SF 8?

You can cancel all waiting scans by holding the alt-key and then pressing the cancel button.
Otherwise only the the current scan will be canceled.
