Dear users of SilverFast SE
the SE versions had a problem with applying the generic scanner profile and matching colour data to the selected working space.
This had been solved in 6.4.4r6, and only existed for a few number of prior minor releases.
Having a CMS tab in the SilverFast SE options window at all, however, is a completely different issue. For a start, this tab is shown if either the scanner manufacturers software or SilverFast itself install a generic scanner profile.
Without an input (= scanner) profile, "matching" colour data to a working space can be problematic in itself.
However, if you SE version does not seem to have a generic profile available for your given scanner, please don't hesitate to initiate a support request.
Best regards

hi,
again i have the same problem.
Before the problem of no cms on my mac, was solved by copying the profiles you sent me.
I have to work on a PC as my mac is being fixed, so i installed 6.4.4r6 for win XP and no CMS panel!! Tried copying the profiles you sent to the
C:\Program Files\LaserSoft\SilverFast Minolta 5400 II-SE\SilverFast\Profiles folder, but still no CMS panel..
How do i solve this?
many thanks
