I'm scanning my wife's old (60s) Agfacolor slides and many of them have a distinct pink/magenta cast to them.
My scanner is a Plustek OpticFilm 7600 Ai and I'm using SilverFast Studio Ai. Scan Type is 48->24 Bit Colour
I can get rid of some of it in Photoshop (CS4), but doing so is creating all sorts of "noise" as the colours get removed.
I'm a total "Noob" when it comes to understanding Colour Management, so pls bear with me. Tks
My PC is a 12GB iCore 7, with 2.6TB HDD, running Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.
Any suggestions / comments? TIA

Re: Scanning Old Agfacolor Slides - Pink Cast
Dear Al,
to remove a color cast you can use the function GCC - Global colour correction (http://www.silverfast.com/showmovie/en. ... &hide=desc)
To learn more about color management you should read the Color Management Guide (http://www.silverfast.com/download/docu ... -01-24.pdf).
Best regards

Thank you Artue, I will experiment with it tomorrow and try to absorb the Colour Management Guide.
