I've purchased SF4.x + IT8 + upgrades to 5.x for my Nikon CoolScan 1000 but have replaced the LS1000 for the Nikon CoolScan 2000 because the LS1000 broke down. But since SF is scanner related it does not work with my LS2000
Do I need to buy all softeware again???

Yes, you'd need to buy a SilverFast version for the LS2000 model.
