This might be an odd question, but here goes: I'm using Silverfast SE (I know, but I can't afford Ai) to scan Kodak Portra negatives.
Mostly, my results are great. I'm very happy with Silverfast. Occaisonally though, when I'm doing the prescan, the image that appears during the prescan is MUCH more accurate and pleasing to my eye than what happens after negafix goes over my frame and does its corrections. I have tried holding ALT and clicking reset, but that doesn't reset to the original scanning style - so my question is, is there any way to "uncorrect" all the way back to the way the image looked while the scanner was doing the pre-scan? Sometimes, especially in underexposed evening images, I don't want a boosted and contrasty image, but that's what silverfast thinks I want.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Dear Spiffae,
Under windows you can use the ALT or the Shift keys to revert all changes made in SilverFast, you can also use the trashcan to erase all actual frames, SilverFast will make a prescan without the corrections you have applied.
Cheers
