What an I missing?
Scan and save as a tiff in reflective mode - no problem.
Scan and save as a tiff in transparency mode and Photoshop comes up with the error message "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file.
As far as I can tell everything except for the reflective/transparency mode change is equal.
Mac OS 10.5.7
Silverfast latest SE version
Epson V700

Re: Reflective vs Transparency File Problem
Dear Brian,
this is indeed strange can you scan with the launcher using this setting and then open the tiff in Photoshop ?
Are you realy using tiff ? as image format ? What Scanmode are you using? Have you allready tried deleting the prefs ?

Re: Reflective vs Transparency File Problem
Other info:
At the time I was running Lightroom in auto import - Photoshop would then open the file right after the scan. PS would open each and every reflective image, but not the transparency ones.
Turning off the auto import in LG solved the problem.
As it is not a Silverfast problem as I first thought, please delete this post.
