I recently bought AI Studio. However my KM Dimage sScan Elite 5400ii scanner which has only scanned a dozen slides wasn't recognizable by the computer so I sent it to Precision Camera for repair per Sony's instruction. They just contacted me and said a board had gone bad
and could no longer get the part. Since it was hardly used I don't believe it but can't prove it. So Sony will give whatever they want for a buy-
back of a new scanner that they call junk. Now I have no scanner and AI Studio I can't use. So much for money flushed down the toilet!!

If you don't plan on getting another scanner maybe you can sell you SilverFast license to someone else so that you don't have a total loss.
