HI
I' d like optimizing the response time of Silverfast 8 SE plus :
I want re-allocate the temp files of Silverfast to my external Disk
my question : which dialog window gives me the opportunity of this ?
N B: I 've mounted a RAM extension on my PC ( windows 7 64 bits ) ; It works now with 6 G RAM
and the response time is better than with 4 G RAM, but not yet confortable.

Dear Mr. Guinard,
unfortunately SilverFast will not work with temp files on a external disk.
Best regards

Re: presonse time optimization of scanning
after many investigations I found it out :
open Silverfast
click on "edit"
click on "preferences"
click on "general"
and ... miracle
you see :
" save temp files in ... "
click on the " ..." icon ( at the end of the line )
browse to an existing external folder : this will contain the temp files of Silverfast ( create this folder BEFORE )
close this box dialog
and close Silverfast
re open Silverfast
... done
and it works well ;
my next step is to place these temp files on an external SSD hard disk
