Plustek 7200 Win 7 compatability with 6.6

I have a Plustek OpticFilm 7200 and I installed it on a computer running Windows 7 I installed the appropriate Plustek drivers and then I tried to install Silverfast 6.6. I used the serial # that came with the 6.5 software and it let download the upgrade and it appeared to install on my computer. However, when I opened the program I still have 6.5. I noticed that on your website you show Win 7 compatibility with the 7200i but not the 7200. Is that the problem? If so, is there enough advantages to 6.6 over 6.5 that I should put the scanner on an old computer running XP so that I can use 6.6?

The main use of the scanner will be with Ektachrome slides from the 70's

Dear Customer,

the problem is that Plustek does not support this Scanner on Windows 7 therefore we can not support it either as we require the basic driver from Plustek to communicate with the Scanner.
