output/scaling

Postby das » Tue Jun 27, 2006 11:42 pm

Very novice user of SilverFast SE version 6 and my new Plustek scanner. I am attempting to scan 35mm slides. Please advise what value the output/scaling must be set at to acheive a full (17 inch monitor)screen image at conclusion of scan.
Thanks for your kind assistance.

das,

I don't think your scanner has enough optical resolution to up-sample a 35mm slide to 17 inches for one. Another thing is that a 17 inch image would result is a rather large file size.

In any case the easier method of setting the image size to 17 inches would be by using the output size highlighted in the snapshot below. When you change one of these numbers corresponding scale will change accordingly.
