If I'm not mistaken, you'll need to first load the Nikon original software and get it functioning. Our software requires their 'MAID' drivers in order to function.
Please visit Nikon's site and download/install their latest software first. Then load SilverFast afterward. Hopefully you'll get better results.

OK... another reply from Nikon. You guys will love this:
"The new OS X Jaguar (10.2) is not yet compatible with the Nikon
software. We generally require at least 90 days before announcing an
expected date for the update to our software. This is due to the need
to rewrite, test and approve the new software. You can keep posted
with the updates of all of our products by going to
http://www.nikonusa.com, selecting photography and going to digital
cameras, selecting Digital Tech Support and after selecting the product
going to software downloads."
...tee hee... "10.2 is not yet compatible..."
90 days... Great! We'll have a 10.2.1 by then... hmm... I wonder if that is compatible with nikon or do we have another 90 days of waiting?
Damn, I regret buying the Nikon LS4000... AND I DON'T WANT TO USE v**s**n!!!

hmm... I'll guess I'll give it a try then... But can I make a good image from a raw scan just using photoshop or do I need a scan sw for this? The raw scans are very dark if I remember correctly... When I adjust that much in PS i loose plenty of valuable information in the image, right?... And rebooting in to 9 isn't fun at all, I know...
