New Downloads Policy

Postby Tomaz Klinc » Fri Nov 28, 2003 10:13 am

As of today, in order to download the latest SF v6.* update, I need (1) SF's Serial Number, (2) User Name and (3) Password. O.K., since I downloaded my SF v6 and got no S.N., I try to get the update by filling in (2) and (3) only, as before; alas, no luck this time---it doesn't work.
So what's one supposed to do?

New Downloads Policy

Dear Tomasz Klinc.

O.K., since I downloaded my SF v6 and got no S.N., ????

Thats strange. If you do not have a serial how do scan with SilverFast without having the Watermarks all over the scan.

In order to download an update it is necessary to enter the required information.

Please also see viewtopic.php?t=2406

Kind regards.

For SF v6 download I only received a new user name and a new password, as did other users of v5.x; it was said, and it turned out to be true, that the downloaded file would upgrade the existing v5.x without asking for a S.N. So, if v5.x's S.N. is O.K. for a v6.1.x update, as it used to be untill today, then the download page shoud say so, and there would be no misunderstanding.

Dear Tomaz Klinc.

I now fully understand and agree with your point. We will include this small piece of information as soon as possible in our update dialogue page.
Thank you very much for your valuable input which is always appreciated.

Kind regards.
