I uninstalled Elements 1 and SilverFast, then reinstalled Elements 1, Elements 2 and SilverFast SE 5 in that order. How do I view color film strips? My system is WXP Home. I somehow was able to do it before by geeking around. My PC inexperience is likely a contributing factor to the problem.

Need Help -Negative/Positive
Bought used PF1800 with bundled 5.5.1r.06. and Photoshop Elements 1.0. Was able to some how view negatives by using the "Negative" on the Negative/Positive "option box." I set the Negative option before the prescan. Then I installed new Photoshop Elements 2 and have not been able to view negative film, because I cannot find that " option" box to switch to "Negative" and view the prescan as a nice picture. Is that option found on SilverFast SE 5, or is a Photoshop Elements feature?

NegaFix Option
NegaFix Option SilverFast versus Photoshop
NegaFix is a function to work with negative film and has been developed exclusively for SilverFast. There is no such function in Photoshop.
Photoshop only has a "reverse" function which does not really help to adjust negative film, where there are so many different emulsions that need special set-ups.
Also you should upgrade your SilverFast SE 5.5 version to version 6, which has quite a number of enhancements for better results!

Thank you for your reply. Can you give me a possible explanation regarding why I was able to view negative film before with the 5.5 version by using the "Negative/Positive" option. Or why I can no longer find that option? I was able to find the "invert" option in Photoshop Elements 2, and you were correct in that it does less than a real good job.
I intend to take your advice and upgrade to 6.0 and also to upgrade to Negafix. Thank you for the advice.
