I'm confused about how the Silverfast scanner uses the calibration profile after it's created. The calibration process never showed me a "save as" window for the scanner profile, so I'm not sure of its name. Is it the profile that now shows in the "ICC Profiles" - Scanner (Reflective) window? Otherwise, if I have to search for it in the long list, I have no idea what it's called.
I have Silverfast set up to embed the Adobe RGB profile. Does this mean that Silverfast automatically uses the new calibration first, then converts to Adobe RGB? Or should I uncheck "embed profile" and then apply the scanner profile in Photoshop before I convert it to Adobe RGB?
TIA.

cjmorgana,
you are correct, the profile that now shows in the ICC Profiles - Scanner Reflective is the profile that SF IT8 calibration created. We will save the profile in the correct location automatically in order to prevent prblems with the profile. All our profiles are named "SF_.....", so if you do a search for "SF_" you will see all the profiles created with SilverFast.
There is no need to convert from scanner profile to AdobeRGB in Photoshop. If you set your working space to AdobeRGB and chose embedd profile, SilverFast will automatically convert from input to working space.
Best,
JAN
