Multi-Exposure vs. Multi-Scan

Can someone please tell me the difference between "Multi-Scan" and "Multi-Exposure". Is there a difference?

Dear Mike,

Multi-Sampling is simply scanning the same image for a couple of times to reduce noise while Multi-Exposure does a 2 pass Scan with different exposures which of course also reduces the noise but is also increasing the dynamic range of the Scanner.

Ok, so "multi-scan" is the same as "multi-sampling" then?
