Movies with Quicktime V6 for Silverfast Ai V6

Postby John Michael » Fri Sep 06, 2002 8:02 pm

I just downloaded Quicktime V6, but when I try to playback one of the movies, for say SRD, I receive only about 15 seconds or so before the whole thing stops. What's happening and what can I do? Thanks

...this happens when the internet connection can't catch up with the movie. Quicktime puts some data in its cache and then starts playing. If the movie plays back the data faster than the internet connection delivers, it'll stop once the cache is empty (and continue when more data has been transferred). To avoid this stop-and go procedure, either download the whole movie to your disk and start it from there, or click on the "pause"- button in the quicktime window and wait a few seconds. Then, click "play" again....

....or get broadband connection. I can hardly imagine life without it.
