I upgraded to SilverFast AI v6.6.0r4c to scan in a few carousels of slides and am using an Epson 4990 plugged into a G4 Mac Mini running 10.5.6. The slide tray holds eight slides, and I'm running into trouble with the first filename for each batch. For example, I'll select the eight slides using the marquee and set the filename to "FOO_" and "{4 Digits Index}", which gives a name of "FOO_0001.tif". The first scan gets written as "FOO_.tif", the second as "FOO_0002.tif", the third as "FOO_0003.tif", etc. After I reload the slides and hit "Scan" again, I'll get "FOO_.tif", "FOO_0010.tif", "FOO_0011.tif", etc.
Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? Is anyone else having this problem?
Thanks,
Andreas

Re: Missing number on first file of batch scan
Dear Customer,
I have just tested this issue and on our site the naming of the first file is as it should be wiht the settings I choose.
I would strongly reccomend to delete the prefs via the service dialog. If this does not cure the problem please
contact our support staff witht the support assistant this will make the handling of your request much easier for us.

Thomas,
I continued fiddling with my configuration after posting this message. Quitting and restarting the application or fiddling with the settings didn't rectify the problem, but, as you suggested, deleting the preferences and restarting did the trick. It hasn't reoccurred.
Thanks,
Andreas
