I would like to use a leafscan 45 and silverfast software. Please recommend the most trouble free computer system that i can dedicate to the leafscan.
Thank You.

Thank you. We have a couple dells and a multitude of macs..unfortunately the leafscan ansd silverfast combination is very particular (8 year user) so i am after a more specific recommendation ie
scsi board
cpu
OS
firewire -scsi on a windows xp pro machine
or scsi on a mac
G3 or G4 machine
our trusty supermac s900 dual that worked fine gave up the ghost and no G4 we have will recognize the leafscan 45 regardless of scsi id selected or start up procedure.
It really is a n archaic scanner but I really like the scans..,,
Again thank you.

Ah,
It sounds like you have a computer and just need to match the type of SCSI connection. You may be able to purchase a simple SCSI adapter that will connect the older SCSI device to the newer SCSI connector on your computer.
Take a look on www.cablesdirect.com to see if you can't find a suitable adapter.
This is of course unless you are just looking to spend more money. ;-)
