I am going to get the Minolta 5400 scanner and Silverfast 6 with all the other goodies B&H Photo offers. One disturbing issue is the unavailability of IT8 transmissive targets for Fuji films (Velvia. Provia and Astia).
Where do I these such that they and the data files can be used with Silverfast 6 to profile the scanner? I'm not so much worried about cost as I am quality. After visiting Lasersoft's site numeroustimes over the last 6 months, I get the feeling the Fuji transmissive targets are a backburner issue.

IT8 Target - Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400
I calibrated my 5400 with the E031031 Extachrome Type 1 target supplied with Silverfast AI 6 and have had excellent results with both Kodak and Fuji film.
In addition to EliteChrome ExtraColor 100 I have used Velvia 50 & 100, Provia 100 & 400 and Astia with no problems.

Transmissive Targets
Has anyone tried the Wolf ***** Fuji targets with Ai 6? I am assuming those from Lasersoft may be a long time coming. This also raises the question for me in terms of the research for color management/calibration software.
Looking through Gretag MacBeth products, Colorvision and Monaco products, there does not seem to be any one bundle that allows calibration of a monitor, printer and film scanner until one gets into the $2500 price range. Sure, one can go the reflected target route and use a flatbed scanner to get there, but that is a low end hiccup in the process which I assumed could be overcome by using Silverfast and a range of transmissive targets....which was why I was a bit disappointed in not finding them available through Lasersoft.
One would think he could learn and research most of this first without buying into a rabbit trail of hardware and software only to find a dead end along the way and have to spring for the high dollar stuff in the end anyway.
