IT8 Profiling Mistake?

Greetings,

I did a prescan of my reflective IT8 target, marqued it and clicked the Calibration button. According to the Taz-man in the guide, I should get a dialog box asking me to find the reference file after I click go. The only dialog I go was asking me what to save my profile as, it didn't as me to find any reference file. Am I dreaming or did the software skip a step?

if i remember correctly, if the profiling software finds the reference file, it will just generate the profile. Otherwise it will ask for the file location. You can test this behavior by searching your disc for the correct reference file and renaming it and then running the utility again.
