My brother & I want to scan hundreds of old family photos of various ages, colors, & conditions. There are also rolls of old 35mm film which might be copied as well. He is looking for a program that will scan, fix scratches & dust, adjust colors/brightness, etc. & catalogue via tagging (or names). If possible scanning more than 1 photo at a time would be beneficial as well. He heard about this product & asked me to look into it. He would want the professional version but neither of us are professional in these issues; he is great with photo review & I am more conversant with computers so will be working together on this project. He is a professional picture framer and does alot of work for artists using various media & signage so there is more to this program he might use than just the family photos but I would need to learn, teach & show him. I've been reviewing all the various movie clips on the website & love some of what I see and am confused by others but since each tool comes with it's own "How To Use", I should be able to learn more. We want to copy these completed photos to disc for each family member as part of their heritage to either review on computer or print. He is also seeking facial recognition if at all possible.
Does Silverfast provide all our needs? If not, what doesn't it provide?
I appreciate everyone's time in this matter.

Re: Is Silverfast for us?
Dear Todley,
with SilverFast you are able to make professional scans of your films. When you have a supported scanner, you can download a demo version of SolverFast and try it out.
For facial recognition and burning on a disc you will need other programms.
Best regards
