I have this issue in to Tech support but perhaps someone else can help.
Mac G3 9.2.2, Microtek 6100, SF Ai 6.x
I got the SF software bundled with the scanner. The package says it all runs on Mac OS9. The software does not install correctly. I can not access the SF Plugin through the Import option in either PS Elements 2.0 or PS 6, nor can I start the program through the Launcher, which lists no options at all in its drop-down menu. The original version was 6.2.0r3. Tech told me to download a new version from the website, after registering for a UserID and password. I did this and received 6.2.1r1, which behaves identically, i.e. completely broken. Can't start it or get PS to recognize it.
Does this software really run on 9.2.2? The download site did not give me that option, only the choice between Windows and OSX. I'm afraid this scanner package will have to go back to J&R if I can't fix this as I specifically bought it to receive SF Ai, among other reasons.
Thanks for any help.

Dear MicroSF6
there must have been in error in packaging if you did receive a package for this scanner claiming support for the Microtek 6100 under OS 9.
Unfortunately this scanner is not supported under Mac OS 9.x as it is shown explicitely on our website:
https://www.silverfast.com/product/Microtek/425/en.html
We are sorry about the inconveniences caused.

The package says the 6100 bundle runs on 9.2.2. The Get Started Guide says the bundle runs on 9.2.2. The Microtek website says the 6100 bundle runs on 9.2.2, listing the software as inclusive of SilverFast Ai. This is not a matter of a typo on the box. I researched this as carefully as I could and still wound up with a lemon. How could LaserSoft and Microtek get it so wrong?.
