I realy love them at Nikon and Minolta but I would like to use Silverfast!
Please help me!

Mr. President,
I just downloaded and used SF6 for the first time. WOW!!! I tried out all of the functions (except RGB->B&W) on an old scratched and faded negative, and the results are nothing short of amazing! The functions do take some time even on my fast machine, but the results are beyond anything that I would ever have expected! The Sf_App is great as well for saving system resources (which PhotoShop loves. This is especially handy when making multiple 100MB+ scans.
Thanks again for listening to your users and all of the development and hard work that has been put into this latest version! I can't wait to get the real thing!
Thanks,
Ian A.

The real thing is pretty awesome. RGB>BW takes a while to figure its full potential and when that happens
GANE is slooooow on my Mac G4 500 1 Gig ram in both OSX and 9.2.2, but speed of Dust & Scratch is OK. With file sizes up to about 50meg it isn't really anything to be concerned about, but my 300MB file
I did a fairly comprehensive set of tests (Mac OSX) using all the HDR 6 from Photoshop and SF_App and the time differences are in the range of 5% saving when using SF_App. The benefit is not really the slight increase in speed, but the ability to carry out the edits using JOB and independent of PS. I 'm not sure if JOB will be active in the shipping version of HDR, but if it is BIG SMILES.
I've no idea what the upgrade price is, but this is a MAJOR update
Ian

GANE speed
Dear Ian,
YES, you are right, GANE is a bit slow, but at release time we just cared for the function and had no time for optimization.
On my crappy 400 MHz G4 i have an optimized version running that should give you 3 to 5 times higher GANE speed, wich makes it actually usable, so expect an update soon.

Nils,
Shush don't tell everyone they'll all want a copy. I'm the only one outside LaserSoft who gets the real thing; everyone else gets the test versions with debuggers
Of course you know I'm kidding - thanks for the update and why did I not get an early copy to find all the bugs in???
