Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to scanning and Silverfast and need some advice, please.
I'm scanning my old b/w films at 16bit HDR grayscale @ 4800dpi to get a good file size and saving in TIFF. Then when I open the picture in Photoshop a window appear saying "the embedded ICC profile cannot be used because the ICC profile is invalid. Ignoring the profile." After clicking on continue it's fine.
Did anyone have this problem?
I use Silverfast SE V6.4.3r1
Thanks,
Dave

I don't think that this is good idea - for it leaves the problem unsolved, just without giving appropriate notice of it.
In doing so, you will have your "invalid" profile ignored, and end up with an image having no profile at all, at last.
I assume you should not uncheck the respective box, but rather try to get your profile in order.

asto999,
You are correct, step one is to deal with CMS in SilverFast. The Photoshop setting is something you may do if you do not want to be notified. If you intend to assign a profile to your images in Photoshop regardless of the starting profile, for example, you would not want to see the dialog every time you open an image.
