How to import "SF image parameters" from SF Statis

Postby kmlevine » Wed Nov 13, 2002 2:40 am

Is it possible to import back in SF, the image parameters that have been exported, through the expert dialogue? I.E. If I have a specific color correction of an image and export it as a SF statistic text file, can I import it back for correction of another image?

Thank You

No, you can?t import the statistic file from the expert dialog.

However, the data in the statistic file consist of parameters, which can be saved and loaded elsewhere in SilverFast.
1.a Frame parameters can be saved as frame sets. This parameter holds all frame specific parameters, like size, resolution, gradation curves, color correction, SRD...
1.b Specific frame parameters can be saved and loaded in the corresponding dialogs. Color correction parameter are handled in the color correction dialog, SRD parameters are handled in the SRD dialog....
2. Option parameters can be saved in the option dialog.

Ok, here is how you can do:

1a.
Open as many frames as you want to and set their parameters (color correction, histogram ...). Then go to the general panel in the main dialog and select "Save" in the frame set popup. Save the parameters with any name you wish. The frame set with the name you gave will appear in the frame-set popup. You can now delete or change the frames. Whenever you need the same frames again, select the saved frame (by selecting the name you gave them) from the frame-set popup. The saved frames will appear in the preview window with their saved parameters, all other frames will be deleted.

1b.
Select a frame and change its parameter. F.x change the gradation curves in the gradation dialog. Save the parameters in the gradation dialog. Whenever you need the same gradation parameters, go to the gradation dialog and select the saved parameters. You can also load the saved parameters in other frames than the one you saved them from. This also works for color correction and other tools.
