Hi,
I'm using the most recent version of Silverfast 6 Ai for a Nikon Coolscan 4000, Mac OS 10.3.
I want to define different sets of "options" or even just different sets of "auto" configurations. I haven't yet found a way to do it. It would be useful as I am putting together different "auto" sets for different scanning needs.
Anyone know how?
Thanks in advance.
Tom
how to create different sets of "options"?

Dear omtom
I am not quite sure if my suggestion will suffice your intentions but you might want to try this:
- Do adjust your settings the way you want them to be for a specific purpose.
- Click on the dropdown "Settings" menu on the settings window.
- Select save and give your current setting a meaningful name.
- Start from top again for another scan purpose.
After you have created individual settings you can easily access them from the settings dropdown menu.
In my example screenshot I have created the Setting_128 (not a very meaningful name, I know <;o)).
You can delete settings you no longer need the same simple way.
Please note that this function is not available in SilverFast SE.
If combined with Jobs (that can be saved in the Job Manager) this is a real time saver

Dear Tom,
the above said is true to save the parameters that can be different for every scan frame (e.g. resolution, scan mode etc.).
A probably not very well known new feature of SilverFast is, that you can also save all the settings made in the Options dialog (and even go back to factory settings) by means of a new popup in the General panel of the Options dialog labeled "Option parameter".
It should allow you to do the things you want to do
Regards
Ralf
