How many copies of SF needed?

I am getting a Plustek 7500i w/ SF Studio bundled for Christmas. Looking forward to scanning my 35mm transparencies. I really like the IT8 calibration feature - hope it works out. Also, I would like to use SF with my scanner to do Printer calibration. I currently have an Epson Perfection 1200 scanner.

Your site is not really clear on whether all I need is to order a reflective IT8 target or do I need a 2nd copy of SF for my scanner. Please clarify.

Also, if I do need a second copy, would that mean that I would have to buy a 3rd version if I get a new scanner?

Dear Customer,

for using printer calibration with your epson scanner you would need specific version for your scanner with IT8 & Printer Calibration support.
As we optimise SilverFast for each scanner specifically you would need to purchase it for each Scanner but you can get a a discount when you already own a version.
