How do I scan to a ProPhoto colour space?

Postby boots2x » Thu Jan 08, 2004 8:57 am

I'm using Silverfast to scan images - and I'd like to scan into the ProPhoto Colour Space. I have selected ICM as the method for Input, Internal & Output. I can then choose the input (Microtek Refl) and internal (ProPhoto.icc) profiles. I don't want to do a final transform to a printer dependent space - when I choose Output/printer, there is only a list of offset type devices - I'd like to choose ProPhoto.icc instead.

Is it possible to scan directly to the ProPhoto space? I haven't tried to choose <None> in the Output drop-down... will this work?

Thanks!

James

Dear boots2x.

Please select RGB as Internal--> Output.

Choose your scanner profile as input and the prophoto.icc for the internal color space. Output/Printer -> None, Rendering Intent -> perceptual, Embedd ICC-Profile active.

Kind regards.
