mona,

Take a look at the following page and you will find loads of good information. Ian Lyons's tutorials will help a great deal!

Hi. I have the same question. But when I look at the referenced Ian Lyons tutorial, I find that I cannot follow its instructions. Specifically, I cannot find any way to get SF Ai 6 to identify that I've got a dozen slides on the tray (of a Canoscan 9950F scanner, if that makes a difference). It only treats the scanner as 1 big picture.

The Ian Lyons tutorial refers to a button for an "overview" sort of prescan. I don't see such a button anywhere in SF. (The tutorial shows it as a button with lots of little squares inside it -- like an "apartment building" with many windows, as it were.)

I suppose there's some way to make such a button appear. But being new, I sure can't find it. Any tips?

Another way to ask the same question might be: "How do you get SF to automatically create frames for the # slides (or negatives) in the prescan, instead of a single frame for the entire prescan?"

Thanks for any help.

PS: If it makes a difference, note that for now I've just got the demo download of Ai 6. I guess that it is not "disable-ware", so the batch mode should work, right?

hi...
in general pannel - change the file to - "batch.
now draw your frames u want to scan. (u can zoom in it as well).

another way, is to use the job manager. here, u use only one drawn frame, and move each time to the new selection, then add it to your job manager.
