HDR 8.8 will not open dng raw file created in Ai studio 8.8

Hello,
The HDR program will not open dng raw file. My choice for 48bit raw file as first step in archiving was to save as dng and not tiff, an option which silverfast makes available. Then when I went to process the archived file in HDR , it said that it can not open a dng raw file. What is going on? Susan

what is the source of that file?
SilverFast HDR can not import camera raw data.

I changed the gamma to 1.0 and issue is resolved. Thank you anyway.
