Forget Negafix, use Negative Direct ????

After experimenting for several weeks with some hundred of negativs I was just about to de-install Silverfast Ai and then change to the Nikon Software when I found by accident the feature "Negativ Direkt" (instead of Negativ starting Negafix).

My Nikon Coolscan V ED now produces perfect scans from color negatives (Kodak Farbwelt 100, 200) an all the Problems in high saturated reds an browns (with NegaFix) ore gone!

The good message is that it works fine now. The bad message is, that I have to do all scans again and that I paid 200 Euros for Silverfast Ai.

1. Why don't you tell your customers about this feature?

2. Is there something wrong with NegaFix, it is IMPOSSIBLE to produce good colors together with the scanner above! Even in Expert Mode.

3 Will "Negativ Direkt" work with films other than Kodak Farbwelt 100, 200 ?

Dear Pike,

the "Direct" mode uses a Nikon own negative mode, but it doesn't allow for individual film profiles.

Hallo,
gibt es eine Einstellungsanleitung für "Negafix Direkt"? Ich bekomme nur tiefschwarze Scan-Ergebnisse. Der Hersteller meiner Color-Negative ist nicht bekannt.
Ich arbeite mit Scanner Nikon LS-50 und der Software AiStudio SFde-6.6.0r3a(NikonM).

Sehr geehrter Herr Ruta,

der Negative Direct Modus bietet keinerlei Einstellungen.
Man kann sich anders als bei NegaFix nicht für einen Filmtyp entscheiden oder andere Einstellungen vornehmen.

the Negative Direct mode has no settings that need to be adjusted.
You can not select a certain Film type like in NegaFix

Wenn ich "Negativ Direct" benutze, werden meine Scans viel zu hell.
Ich muß unter "Optionen/Allgemein" die Gramma Gradation auf 1.00 stellen.
Ansonsten ist 2.00 (Dias) optimal unter Windows. Ist das ein BUG oder warum stimmt die Ausgabe nicht?

auf Negativ Direkt haben wir keinen Einfluss und raten auch grundsätzlich dazu unsere NegaFix lösung zu verweden.
