I'm unable to (manual or auto) achieve focus on film. After using the point tool, the "Focus Preview" screen comes up and both sliders are set to zero (on the bottom of the scale). The sampled image is totally blurred. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the scanner (Nikon 8000) ...it focused well before I upgraded to SF6, or a problem with Mac Leopard or the upgrade. I've uninstalled all previous SF plug-ins, apps, aliases and have dumped the SF prefs in utilities. Still won't focus. Anyone have this problem or, even better, can let me know if I'm missing something?
thanks.

Dear Customer,
very strange behavior normaly the Autofocus should be the way to got with the larger Nikon Scanners and it normaly just works fine.

Dear Thomas Luebker,
I'm beginning to believe that my focusing procedure may be the problem. Can you point me to a "step by step" instruction on how to correctly focus manually. I prefer not to rely on auto focus as I'm enlarging scanned images to fairly large print sizes. I've already looked at some of the SF
videos and remain confused with this. thanks.

Dear johnchiasson,
the focus procedure is quite simply,
Please set the resoloution you want to Scan before you use the focus.
Now click on the Focus button and you will have to pin on a area on the picture to get the Focus Preview floating window.
Here you could either use the Auofocus, by clicking on the Auto Button, thats what I would suggest or you do the focus setting by yourself
moving the litle trinagle on the right. Once you set the focus manually you need to press the manual button to get a preview when pressing OK this will be
applied.
