Film edge code table

Hi there,

I've got a load of negatives without any info regarding the film they were shot on. The negatives have an edge code, but in many cases, no manufacturer.

For example, I am currently holding some negs with the code 4548. They were taken in 1988. Does anyone know what Film this is?

Dear Rob,

Without knowing the manufacturer it will be difficult to identify the film.
Even when knowing the manufacturer the number does not always help.

You can however try the various film profiles available in SilverFast until you get a good result and use that.
But make sure the red scan-frame is placed tightly around the image content.
That is important so the unexposed film material does not disturb the histogram.
