dreamy silverfast for modern times.

Postby victor » Sat Jul 08, 2006 11:32 am

im silverfast Ai studio and HDR studio user. this is my prefered photography software.

my wish list for silverfast in current and future state of imaging software (after aperture and lightroom introduction).

1. full screen editing. it is much more convinient to get to final result with full screen editing of the photos. especially when it comes to fine tunnig.

2. more flaxible album management. like folders and subfolders etc.

3. versioning as in aperture.

4. ability to scan hdr files from Ai directly to the albums of vlt in hdr.

5. modern image browser or some kind of integration with iphoto or aperture.

why not simply use aperture???
1. casue silverfast is much better editing software with great tools and high quality output.
2. in aperture, no support for the scannig. no negafix to convert hdr files.

dear users of silverfast and silverfast developers and managers...
i dont mean that the silverfast should become another aperture, but with the new standards that aperture defines in terms of workflow for photographer, i think that silverfast with its great tools and editing capabilities plus new standards in workflow can become an ultimate "home" for photographers wether film based or digital :-)

Dear victor

well, it sure has been sometime, but now your suggestions had been entered into our internal development database, so that some future version of SilverFast might indeed feature the ideas you presented.

Thanks for your inspiration and have a brilliant weekend =)

Best regards
