Hi,
I would like to know if anybody, who has the Digit Dia 4000, has any success with using ME and ISRD.
Since I bought the update for the ME function 1 year ago, the support team of Silverfast was not able to fix the problems happening with ME, when used together with iSRD (bad colours, colour shifts, extra lines ect.). Alle the hints to use the latest version of silberfast did not fix the problems so far and everytime I get an email back, saying that the technical support and development is going to look into this problem.... :(
Thanks a lot for your suggestions
Thorsten
Digit Dia 4000: after 1 year ME still dose not work!!

Hi Thorsten,
I totally agree with your statements! I've been in contact with the support team for 18 month now and still get the same answers you mentioned. Meanwhile, I've no drive to act as a beta-tester anymore and stay with the 6.5.0r5 release of the software, not using ME at all. The last test to get ME running with 6.5.5r2 wasn't successful at all - even if the support team mentioned, that the current issues were resolved.
I've still a couple of thousands slides to scan and I'm not willing to accept the bad software-quality. Basically, we as users have two chances: don't recommend or buy this software (anymore) or to increase the pressure.
Personally, I've seen people claim and resign with regard to the issues with this piece of software; Kul has written a short 'compendium' on how to use silverfast with the DigitDia, but has now resold his scanner and got rid of all the problems with it. And also a couple of other persons have given up the fight against wind-mills. But since I cannot resell my scanner (no warranty anymore, still slides to scan) I'm trying to get the issues fixed.
That's my result using the ME-feature of silverfast:

The problems with ME have shifted slightly since the first release of this feature. Please see also my reportings and the - not helpful - answers here - the problems are still remaining and no new release has fixed the issues:
