I have noticed that each scan I make includes a spurious (vertical) 3-pixel wide Black line 2-pixels within the right hand side of the image. The pixels on the edge of the image (to the right of the line) are genuine pixels (not blanks), and the scane frame is well within the image boundary.
I am using Nikon IVD SF6 PhotoShop Plug-in in Photoshop LE, with Gane(M) as the only possible option which is new (but this does not appear to be a factor)
This artifact did not appear in any of my scans using SF5
Can anyone comment on this - it is really irritating to have to remove it from every image.
Thank-you for your help

re. Curious Line
I have just run some further tests and these tests seem to indicate that the spurious line is a by product of the GANE Filter (if there are no Filters there is no line)

Curious 3 Pixel Wide Black Line
I have seen a similar problem with SilverFast 6 NikonM using a Nikon CoolScan V ED (LS-50). In my case, the vertical black line appears to be four pixels wide and located on the left side of the scan one pixel to the right of the left edge of the scan.
After some experimentation, I have determined that the problem occurs when using GANE with an "odd" resolution setting or a scaling factor other than 100%. They black vertical line does not appear when I use a resolution setting of 2000dpi, 3200dpi, or 4000dpi with 100% scaling. But 2400dpi, for example, exhibits the black line as does 3200dpi at 60% scaling. It is possible that 4000dpi and 50% scaling would work, but I did not try that.
It seems easy enough to work around this by selecting one of the resolutions that works properly with GANE, but the granularity of file size and resolution are a bit coarse. (approx. 5.2Mpxl, 13.3Mpxl, or 20.8Mpxl)
I have supplied this information to LSI support and they were able to recreate the results.
