Color Management Setup

Hi!

Yes, I have read the manual. I even put a printout of Chapter 7 under my pillow. I still cannot figure out how to set up SF 5.2 for correct color workflow on a Mac with a Nikon LS-2000. Is there a friendly tutorial on this? Or can someone just very briefly tell me which profiles should be chosen in the setup window? (I do have a reasonable knowledge of basic CM setup, I just can't seem to figure this one out.)

I'd be glad to help you set up Silverfast's Color Management option. I have screen shots of all pertinent settings.

Your information is actually incomplete, to help you set up that is, but this evening when I can get to my "CM Setup Page" I'll fire it off to you and studying it should help what ever your set up may be.

Here is the main setup I am color managing. A Mac, 20 inch calibrated monitor, Color Sync, Photoshop 6 (preferred workspace AdobeRGB), LS-2000, Silverfast scanning software, Epson 1270 proof printer.

Color Management/Workflow -- all of the above items on my system and your system must be known and be working together.

Don't get me wrong or think I'm just stating the obvious to you, but every time my system has been out of step it has been because I was the one who missed an obvious setting and not any of my hardware or software. (Say hello to the weakest link) That is why I keep a diary of sorts of screenshots

Thanks for the offer! If it'll help: Mac OS 9.1, ColorSync 3.0.3, Mitsubishi monitor with custom profile, PS 6.0.1 (working space set to Bruce RGB), Nikon LS-2000 (OEM profiles only, no IT8).

Other than the SF problem, color management is working fine. I MAY have the SF thing right, since I read the manual a few more times, but a good setup guide would be more than useful!!
