Cant get the final scan to work

i can get everything to work but when i go to scan all i get is a litle bell...
I am new to sylverFast.. have read the directions...

For any of us to help you , we need more information. What operating system, version of Silverfast, scanning into Photoshop X ? using SF stand alone app., scanning to file, Silverfast preferences, what scanner, etc. If you can describe briefly, in order, what steps you are doing (following scanpilot, etc.) .
