Cannot measure exposures values

I just installed the demo of silverfast 6.
With my coolscan 4000 (running fine with coolscan), i now get the following message when i want to scan:

"Cannot measure exposures value"

any comment ?

version 5.5 was working, i downloaded the v6 to see if there are improvements with the negafix system.... sounds bad until now

more than 7 days after posting my question, still no answer....
I was really interested in upgrading to silverfast 6, but this does not push me in that direction....

Email support directly. This sounds like a problem that has been reported before and there is either a manual fix or release 4a (Win,PS) fixed the problem. It would be helpful when you post a question in the future if you include the OS and PS plugin or twain, and the version you are using. Read in the recent NIKON forum section.
